VENEZIA | Cabin Charter
To the most Serene Lagoon. Venice is the most beautiful, aquatic city in the world…
What is Boat and Breakfast?
This expression describes a new type of alternative, dynamic tourism, a unique way of living life on board characterised by the possibility of spending time in a location as wonderful as the lagoon city with the ‘Cabin Charter’ accommodation solution.
This peculiar type of nautical tourism first appeared in countries of northern Europe such as Denmark and Holland; then it extended across the Channel, allowing enthusiasts of this kind of tourism to explore wonderful cities such as London, but then also Paris, Copenhagen, Prague and so on.
It is now possible to experience Venice with the ‘cabin charter’ solution in a docked boat which offers the possibility to go on excursions of your choice in the splendid setting of the Venetian lagoon.
Boat and Breakfast allows you to enjoy very central and exclusive locations on board a wonderful schooner, an elegant and comfortable boat which brings together modern standards of comfort with the old-style charm that only wooden boats can convey.
An original way to experience the city of Venice, different to the classic hotel solution, one which we recommend to those who wish to enjoy the spacious, elegant and well-furnished space of a docked boat, but one that remains intimate, manageable and different from cruise ships.
All of this is set in a unique and prestigious context at the new Sant’Elena marina in the heart of Venice, only a stone’s throw on foot from the pavilions of the Biennale and Saint Mark’s square.
What’s more, only one stop away on the water bus, it is possible to reach the Island of Certosa or the Island of Lido, to continue exploring the most interesting corners of this enchanting and romantic city.
The timeless history of Venice and the marine republics…
Our guests can stay and sleep on board and have breakfast in one of the yachts docked in the heart of Venice in the centrally-located Marina Sant’Elena and experience a holiday in a different kind of room, one which is smaller than that of a hotel, but which represents a valid alternative if you think about the beauty of experiencing real feelings and charm, like back in the day when Venice was the maritime republic of the doges.
Goletta San Marco offers accommodation in 8 comfortable cabins all equipped with an en-suite bathroom and air-conditioning and independent heating, with single and double beds available.
For all these reasons, Goletta San Marco does not need to envy the elegant establishments available on the mainland; on the contrary, thanks to its privileged position in the Marina, the boat is docked in a fantastic, peaceful spot in the centre of the lagoon, a strategic place from which to reach all the main monuments of this wonderful city, even on foot.
In addition, only one water bus stop away, you can reach Lido di Venezia or the island of Certosa or in a few stops the islands of Giudecca, Murano or Burano.
Goletta San Marco is located in the Venice Marina of Sant’Elena only a few minutes away from a splendid promenade along the Grand Canal from Saint Mark’s Square; it is not separated by canals which require water buses so, for those who love walking, all the best attractions are within walking distance as the boat is located right in the heart of the historic centre of the main island of Venice.
To reach Goletta San Marco from piazzale Roma or the train station, besides coming directly on foot, you can take water bus lines 1, 5.1 or 6 (public transport) with a stop in Sant’Elena. We recommend taking a lovely stroll across the centre of the city, taking a peak at what there is to visit in your own time once you have made yourselves at home on board. Quite the benefit if you consider that every trip on public transport here in Venice costs 7 Euro! … you can reach us free of charge! Moving from the boat to the attractions of this marvellous city costs nothing!
